Analysis of the production technology of polypropylene foaming beads (EPP)

TIME£º 2024-01-22

At present, the internationally used polypropylene foaming process has intermittent and continuous processes. The intermittent foam production polypropylene foam material (EPP) is a high -crystal polymer/gas composite material with performance*. With its unique and superior performance, it has become the fastest -growing environmentally friendly new type of anti -buffer insulation. Material. EPP products have excellent seismic resistance performance, high recovery rate, high heat resistance, chemical resistance, oil resistance and thermal insulation. In addition, its quality can greatly reduce the weight of the item. EPP is also an environmentally friendly material, which can not only recycle and reuse, but also degrade naturally without causing white pollution. Since EPP was invented in 1982, its application field has been expanding. According to different uses, the density of EPP products can be controlled by process parameters, generally 20-150kg/m3. At present, most of the EPP foam particles are achieved through intermittent foaming. Due to the complex production process, high cost, of course, the price is also high. The price of market EPP parts is about 20,000 euros/ton. The mold pressure processing of the EPP parts is similar to that of EPS (the process has matured). Despite such a high price, the market of EPP is gradually expanding.

The major breakthrough of the continuous polypropylene foaming process was in the 1990s. In 1994, Basell launched a polypropylene with high melt intensity and successfully used for continuous polypropylene foaming process. The melt intensity polypropylene resin, currently, the foaming technology of the inlet of the commoditized polypropylene (preparation of polypropylene foam plastics with a foam density of 100kg/m3) in the world Actaneous hairpin. However, due to the high price of high melt strength polypropylene resin and using flammable foaming agents, the equipment must be treated with special explosion -proof treatment, so the cost of polypropylene foaming material is high, thereby limiting the scope of its use. The market for polypropylyl foaming materials in this process still increases at a rate of more than 20%.

At present, the demand for PP foam products in the domestic market is very strong. According to preliminary estimates, the demand for PP foam slices and PP beads is 400,000 tons each year, supply is less than market demand.

The advantages of this technology

1) Industrial policy advantage. This technology is in line with*actively advocated "energy conservation and emission reduction" industrial policies. It has resource conservation and significant advantages in recycling and environmental protection.

2) Industrial production advantage. This project uses conventional polypropylene raw materials and domestic production equipment. The main raw material polypropylene is a common polypropylene, with a wide range of sources and low prices. The main production equipment needs to be specially designed and supported. At present, it can be processed and manufactured in China.
